2025 was a year of fresh starts. We restructured, welcomed new team members, and rethought the way we work – always with one goal in mind: making Actionbound even more impactful and relevant. Whether in workshops, at events, or during team retreats, one thing was clear: we’re shaping our platform for the future.

Our 2025 event highlights

Kirchentag in Hanover, Germany

At this year’s Kirchentag, we co-created the collaborative Bound “Actionbound x Kirchentag” with Brot für die Welt and Alpetour. More than just another info booth, our Bound let visitors actively explore key topics. It sparked conversations, reflection, and interaction – a true showcase of what educational work can feel like.

LEARNTEC in Karlsruhe, Germany

LEARNTEC has become a tradition for us. This year, we were back in Hall 2, meeting curious minds and making interactive learning tangible – not only in classrooms, but also at trade shows. Our Messe-Bound was once again part of the experience, and yes: learning through movement and storytelling works even on the show floor.

One highlight: CEO Bene Heiß took the Main Stage with his talk “Connecting learning to emotion.” He showed why knowledge sticks better when it's connected to real experiences. A full house, an engaged audience, and lots of powerful takeaways – a big moment for us, and a sign of the growing importance of emotional learning.

Global reach, real impact

Over 1.3 million people around the world played a Bound in 2025 – solving riddles, learning new things, laughing, and maybe even sweating a little. Bounds were used in 200+ countries, from Reykjavik to Patagonia, from classrooms to city tours in Prague.

Speaking of Prague: One of the most-played Bounds this year came from our amazing partner CTS Reisen, who specialize in educational and group travel and enhance their trips with Actionbound.

90,500 Bounds built by you: That’s right: over 90,500 Bounds were created by you –for schools, cultural sites, teams, families, and everything in between. You turned locations into learning spaces, shared stories, and brought people together through play. Thank you for being part of it!

Most-loved features of 2025? No surprise here: Quiz, Information, and Mission were the top favorites – the ultimate all-rounders for your diverse Bound ideas.

Meet our growing team

This year, our Academy Team has evolved into what is now our Customer Success Team – with a stronger focus on creativity, support, and learning. With Lisa taking the lead in support, Leonie bringing her enablement expertise, Flora adding her game design perspective, and Moritz joining as an e-learning specialist, we’ve expanded our strengths to offer even more tailored guidance and inspiration for Bound creators.

On the marketing side, Carolin brings messages to life with a sharp eye for visuals and storytelling, while Seba – our new working student in sales and marketing – adds fresh energy and ideas to the mix. There’s also a new face on the development side: Marian has joined the team as a frontend developer, bringing new ideas and momentum to the technical side of Actionbound.

In short, we’ve grown our team to support you even better – whether you’re brainstorming your next Bound, planning a project, or already deep in creation mode. And while things are moving fast internally, we’re also sending warm wishes to Anna and Céline, who are currently on parental leave. We can’t wait to have you back!
