Once a field near the outskirts of Worcester City, transformed when the area was sold to "The Corporation" to a 'Leisure Park' then sold off for development in parcels of land that, over time, became islands of terraced houses in a sea of field boundaries with the canal cutting across the North as part of England's highways of the canal era and a working class suburban sprawl.
