Adding and formatting media

Make your Bound appealing by including pictures, videos or audios.

For example, tell your story or read the texts to your players.

How to


  • Click on the pencil icon to edit the desired element.

  • Place the marker where you want to insert media content.

  • Now select above the text field via the corresponding symbol whether you want to insert a photo, video or audio.

  • You will now be taken to the media library, where you can also upload new media directly.

    • Add the medium to your element by clicking Select.
    • The medium appears in the text field as a code. After Save, you will see it in the Bound preview as an image, video or audio.
    • The information you enter under licence type is only displayed in the app under the medium as a caption.

Caution!

If you use media other than your own, make sure that you own or have obtained the rights to use and exploit them.
Be conscientious about entering the licence type and copyright information to avoid infringements and warnings.

Formatting images

You can also format inserted images. To do this, move the mouse over the image to be formatted in the Bound preview and click on the cogwheel.

You can choose from the following options:

Section

Select section: You can select any section of the image, which is then displayed in the bound.

Reset section: The selected section is reset and the entire image is displayed again.

Replace: You can replace an image directly with another image from the media library.

Adjust width

Use the slider to adjust the width (and thus also the height) of the image.

Set alignment

Use the buttons to set the alignment of the image (default: left; other options: centered, right, stretch to full width).

Text flow

Decide whether text is allowed to flow around the image (if text is aligned left or right).

Show magnifier in the app (License feature)

Use this option to activate the magnifying glass so that players can zoom into the images in the app and see the image in full screen. By default, this option is enabled.

Audio player (License feature )

In addition to the audio player of the Actionbound app, you have the option of switching to the native audio player. The native player offers you the following options:

  • smaller control panel
  • shows the progress of the audio file
  • fast forward and rewind possible
  • also runs in the background
  • Adjust the playback speed

Activate the native audio player via the cogwheel next to the audio player in the Bound preview.

Note

You must enable the native audio player for each audio in your Bound.

Example of use

  • Use audios or videos to set your tasks.
  • Increase the accessibility of your Bound by adding text.
  • In a puzzle or escape bound you can hide clues in your pictures or videos.

Caution!

When it comes to the file size of your media, make sure it is neither too small nor too big to offer good quality without consuming too much data.
